Eagle Scout Information

I am a member of the District Advancement Committee for the Choctawhatchee District, Gulf Coast Council located in Pensacola, Florida, in the far Northwest Florida Panhandle.  This website is intended as an "unofficial" source of information that will help to explain, enhance and elaborate on the guidance and direction provided by the Boy Scouts of America regarding attainment of Eagle Scout.

The Purpose of the Eagle Scout Award

A recipient of the Eagle Scout Award is a Boy Scout, Varsity Scout, or qualified Venturer
* who applies the principles of the Scout Oath and Law in his daily life.  He has achieved the qualities listed below because of determination and persistence through the advancement program:

Eagle Scout Board Of Review members to ask an Eagle Scout candidate to expound on during his Eagle Scout Board Of Review!

*In order for a Venturer to be an Eagle Scout candidate, he must have achieved First Class rank as a Boy Scout or Varsity Scout.
